Exposed aggregate
Exposed aggregate driveways, paths and courtyards.
Exposed aggregate gives you texture and grip instead of a slick finish. The stone is washed back at the right time so the aggregate reads evenly across the whole pour, with the edges and joints cut clean. A good fit for driveways, pool surrounds, paths and alfrescos where a plain slab would look flat.
What the job involves
- Levels and falls set before the pour
- Base prepared and compacted, not poured over rubbish
- Reinforcement and thickness to suit the load
- Cut and finished cleanly, site left tidy

What is exposed aggregate?
A finish where the top layer of concrete is washed back to reveal the stone underneath. It is one of Pridecon’s specialties — every photo in the gallery is a real Pridecon pour.
What does exposed aggregate cost?
Exposed aggregate typically runs $65–$100+ per m² depending on size, access and the stone chosen. Pridecon quotes firm prices after a site measure.
Is exposed aggregate slippery?
The exposed stone gives a textured surface, which is why it is popular for driveways, paths and pool surrounds. The finish and seal are discussed at quote stage.
